A little gift .............

In the midst of preparing a small surprise for someone. :))) hehehehehe!

Hopefully he will like it, and I'm sure it will come in handy! ^_^!!! Trust me, you will need these lots! *giggles!*All I need now is a box to put all the stuff in. And maybe an instruction sheet, cause I got this feeling he doesn't know how to use them. -_-""

I'm especially happy on this Monday morning. HAHAHA! Literally jump all the way from home to the station  and to the workplace. It just gets better the whole day! ^_^!!!

Many many many thanks to my Honey for these goodies! All the way from Korea! HAHAHA! And of course, for helping me bring my loots all the way back! Must be super heavy! :)))

And I'm just a lucky girl cause I found this Elmo purse! HOHOHO! It was love at first sight! So cute that I wanna act like Elmo, but fail quite badly ............

You know what I mean. HAHAHA! See how happy I am with my new red purse! LOL! ^_^!!!

Time to head for bed, surprise gift sitting right on the table. *YAY!*

Totally unexpected = pleasant SURPRISE!

Yes! Now I really believe in pure LUCK (or maybe coincidence again?)!!! ^_^!!! HAHAHA!

Imagine this. You found 2 lottery tickets inside an envelope. Both draw dates are quite long ago (Maybe a month old). What will you do? Throw away into the wastepaper bin or double check the results? :)))

I threw them away (Yeah, you must be thinking I'm a crazy girl). I mean, the first thing that came to my  mind was "So long ago, sure didn't win one". So what's the point of going to Singapore Pools and slowly load the results out. But then, on second thoughts (which was very last minute), I decided to waste that few minutes just to double check. HAHAHA! I picked up the tickets and went on to check the TOTO results.

*Loading page~*...............

TOTO results: 3 numbers strike only. My hopes practically dropped to zero. =.=|| Sian! But still I got 1 more ticket to check: the 4D ticket!!! :)))))

I totally wasn't expecting this!!! REALLY!

My employee number just strike for the first time! :))) HAHAHAHA! I always think it's a good number, since it represent my birthday! *YAY!!!* And I was shouting in the room till my sister came dashing into the room thinking I have gone crazy. ^_^!!!!

HAHAHAHA! One more thing: the morale of the story: Always double check! :)))) LOL!

Lady luck on me? Or maybe it's a coincidence? ^_^!!!

:)))) 我的第一次啊!!!!

HAHAHA! And I wasn't the first one to know. Dad called many times to tell me the good news followed by JY. Heex! :) I was super duper happy when I heard the news that I wanted to do a star jump (but inside a car, a bit hard, =.=||)!!!

Ohh in case you aren't too sure what I was referring. Here is it:

^_^!!! My winning ticket! *YAY!*

The winning numbers are the birthdays of all my family members. ^_^!!! Super coincidence that I bought these numbers out of a sudden. Lucky JY called and asked whether I wanna buy (since he's helping his dad to buy too). *YAY!* But I totally forgot about his birthday, and it's part of the winning numbers. I would've scored 5 numbers! Sotong me!

But it's alrighty, till the next time then! I shall collect this winnings together with my World cup winnings (Yes! I haven't collect them yet! =.=||)!!! ^_^!!! *WHEE!*

Haven't got any idea whether is it illegal to post a picture of the lottery ticket, so just to play safe. Insert a "Specimen" in the picture! :)))))

Ohh, and in less than 5 hours is the Shape Run 2010 (and I'm still here lor-so-ing -.-"). HAHAHA! 45 minutes to complete the whole run is the target. If I didn't meet the target, I shall.........(no idea what I'll do, most probably no ice-cream?). ^_^!!!

HAHAHA! Quite a nice number :) Might consider buying it!

*Boss got teach me how to buy 4-D liao! HAHAHAHA*

Shoes make me HAPPY!

The title says it all! Caught up with my dearest bff (someone didn't know what's bff, =.=||, you know who you are! HAHAHA!) for some dinner and late night shopping at Orchard. Actually it wasn't that late, around 4 plus and we decided to start the day off with ICE-CREAM! ^_^!!! Yums!~ Cold Rock @ 313 Somerset: Hazelnut with Nutella + Ferrero Rocher + crushed peanuts! Delicioussssssss!~

Shopped around 313 for a while before heading to The Herem for Pasta de Waraku (To avoid the dinner crowd). My 第一次 again!~ Very simple and healthy dinner, and each of us only paid around SGD8! Wahahahaha! The power of having cards in your wallet! :))))

Sony TX-5 Gourmet Mode! The food looks more appealing now :))))

Went on to Ion to shop, but the brands there are too exp for kids like us (HAHAHA!) and didn't manage to get anything. But, we did pamper ourselves with more Starbucks! Hot chocolate ALWAYS make me super happy even though it's fattening >.<"" (But who cares!~)

Over the cups of Green tea and hot chocolate, we consider getting ourselves a new pair of shoes, even though we have tons of it. But then, girls are always girls, SHOPPING for shoes is our (natural) habit. ^_^!!!But we decided to go back to 313 Mitju to get our shoes instead! :))))

I ♥ this shot the MOST! :)))

Night shot mode using my TX-5 :) Without any tripod! :))) Just loves it!~

I got 2 pairs of new shoes in 1 day!~ Retail therapy really work wonders. :))))))))))

3 第一次 in one night!

What a exciting night! :) :) :) Life's great with so many unpredictable and exciting events happening on you, don't you agree? 3 第一次s in one night is definitely going to spice up my life and make me a HAPPIER person on Earth! ^_^!!!

1st 第一次: Dinner @ Beppu Dinning Restaurant, ate some "Demon" ramen. I decided to try their level 2 spiciness = WRONG decision! It's super hot, till I don't dare to drink the soup and tried to drain all the soup from the ramen before going inside my mouth! >.<"" But the crispy chicken is nice (I LIKE!), 够味道! *HAHA!*

2nd 第一次: KOI Bubble tea!!!! Finally managed to get my hands on a cup of bubble tea! Usually when I first try a bubble tea shop, I will go for their milk tea first. KOI is not an exception, ordered a small 25% sugar milk tea (unfortunately their pearls sold out! :( ) But it's really nice (just a bit not sweet, which is healthy!). Ohh, in order to add on some sweetness, I ate a D24 durian pancake! *Deliciooouuuussss.....and SINFUL!*

3rd 第一次: Yangtze Cinema! After such a long time (from IA last year till now), we finally made our way there. Of course, it's not that easy to find the cinema. We walked around the mall trying to locate the cinema (and the worst thing I'm wearing heels OMG!), up the escalator and walkways...and finally, at this wulu corner, there's an entrance to the ticket kiosk! *YEAH!* But, I didn't buy a ticket to watch. *tsk tsk!* But I'm definitely going back one day to watch a movie and see what those uncles are doing inside...umbrellas and newspapers READY TO GO! Anyone interested, please drop me a message!  ^_^_^_^!!!

It's a once a lifetime thing!

Warning: Please do not go alone to such places alone as "senior citizens" (UNCLES!) are seen walking around the premises. Safety is IMPORTANT! :) :) :)

Instead of a R21 movie, we went to GV Plaza for a late night show: The Spy Next Door, starring Jackie Chan. 3 words to describe the movie: cute, funny and entertaining (at least I didn't fell asleep)! :) :) :)

Cab home after that! Few more hours to shopping trip! *WHEEE!*

Eyes so tired from wearing contacts for >12 hours. I'm still not used to wearing contacts! *urgh!* :(

I think I got a new hobby (out of a sudden). And guess what, it's totally random! KITE FLYING! Hahaha! Don't ask me why I suddenly got this idea, just go try and fly your own kite and you'll know that it's super FUN! :) :) :) but tiring as well.

You will get a sense of achievement when you see that your kite is high up in the sky with the blue sky as the background and flowing gracefully through the clouds (maybe not that high *giggles*). And it's not that easy to do that (OK!), lots of skills are needed like: strength of wind + direction of wind + whether place is crowded (if yes, then you've limited space to run around) + quality of kite + what type of string is used + luck. Hahaha! This is all from my point of view though.

Nevertheless, I intend to buy a good and durable kite with the look-professional string with reeling type like a fishing rod for the next round of kite-flying. Maybe it helps me to fly my kite easier and also to reel it back when the kite falls back down (save a lot of time coiling the string back).

Pictures to be uploaded at a later post! It's almost 3am in the morning! *YAWNZ!*

New Year's approaching and I just can't wait for 31st Dec to come so I can count down to a brand new year.

Honestly, I think 2009 is quite a short year, partly because the 1st half of the year is spent almost on another island. *giggles!* Doing my attachment at ICES at Jurong Island with lots of buddies! They just made me wanna go work everyday early in the morning! :) :) :)

The Big MSE Family! :) :) :)

Smiles! :) :) :) They just make my day happier!

One word to describe this picture: Happy! (NTU + NUS friends!)

2nd part of the year is back to old times: SCHOOL! :) :) :) I took some time to get use to the studying hours, attending lectures + tutorials. FYP (unfortunately) didn't take  up much of my time, but I spent most of the time doing lots of random stuff (which I can't remember, LOL!)

Then, comes the EXAMS! And, as usual, during the exam study week you got to wake up super early and zoom down to the library for a seat and it's like you reached home at 12 midnight the day before. Super tiring but no choice (last year, must CHIONG ah). :) :) :)

Even though busy, there's still time for all these:

Chinese New Year Gathering @ Cedric's House :)

Cindy's Birthday Surprise! :) :) :)

Break after "never-ending" quizzes! :) :) :)

Super summarize post for a year of FUN. Though there are tears, it's all worth it because I always believe in no pain no gain. HOHOHO! :) :) :) But from now on, I'll treasure my friends and those around me MORE! You've my words! :) :) :)

CoE Freshmen Orientation 2009

The long awaited day have came!~ Finally after many meetings and rehearsals, it's time to perform on stage for everyone! *wheee!* This year was just as fun as last year and I managed to attend all the meetings so that I wont miss out on any updates! Heex! I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and also to gain a bit of experience on how to write scripts (though I didn't write much!).

Many thanks to those who helped out in one way or another to make it a successful performance! Especially Lee Hong (the staff in-charge of us) for putting up with all our nonsense and tolerating us for always being late for rehearsals! Without your support and help, we would not have been able to perform well! :) :) :)

Not to forget, the 2 emcees who helped to click our slides so that the audience will be able to understand better on what the whole skit is all about! :) Thank You!

Last but not least, to each and everyone acting inside. Because of YOU, I have enjoyed myself a lot and bring back lots of memories! Even though the skit is over, our friendships will always last! :) :) :)

THANK YOU!!!

MSE performers!~ All geared up for the big show time! ^_^!!!

I super love this photo, everyone smiling happily and excited! /Cheers!!! :) :) :)

Even though MSE is not the biggest engineering school in the whole of the College of Engineering, we've the most number of students performing. It makes us unite as one and hopefully in future, more students will participate in this annual event! :)

Smiles! Laughter! FUN!!! :) :) :)

Picture says a thousand words! :) All smiles and laughter is how spent the day in Nanyang Auditorium! :) :) :)

Hopefully next year before I leave NTU, I get to have one more chance to perform on stage! :)

2 days after camp and I'm still shag!~ But it's all worth it because I enjoyed myself and also get to spend some quality time with my uni dearies! :) :) :) It's great sharing a room with them and squeezing ourselves on the bed, taking turns showering and waking up seeing each others' blur blur look. Getting to know new friends along the way makes the camp all the more meaningful!~

Though it's a 5 days 4 nights camp, I felt that I slept more than any camps that I have been. Maybe I'm joining this camp as a programmer instead of a participant that's why I get to have more time to sleep :)

Picture says a thousand words. Enjoyed!~

5 girls changing into the Programmers shirt in a handicapped toilet o.O

In order to save time, we decided to change together in one toilet so we chose the handicapped toilet because it's bigger :) :) :) *giggles!*

Amazing Race around NTU, different stations masters

I was appointed the Runner for the OG "Todaro" and get to run around the school with them on a Amazing Race. These are the stations that they are supposed to complete a task!~

Lots of 自拍 pictures!~

Uni dearies are the BEST!~ Try a lot of times to get everyone into the pictures, some successful some failed *Lol!*

Surprise Birthday Cake from the uni dearies!~

I was totally taken off guard by them! :) :) :) Sweet 22nd Birthday because of them! *Thank YoU!*

Clubbing Night @ The Arena Clarke Quay

Don't you think they look beautiful and handsome? :) :) :)

**A simple word from you brighten up my day to the fullest!~**

Anyway, I'll be away for a week so....meanwhile, miss me ok? :) :) :)

WOW!~~~

Early in the morning happen to see this news article and I was amazed by this "old man" (is 61 years old considered old? ^_^)

He's the first recipient of a Medal For Life award for having donated 217 times blood. *OMG!* Seriously, that's a lot of times!~ If you do some simple mental calculations, in 1 year you'll be able to donate 4 times (every 3 months), so for 217 times, you will required 54.25 years. (WOW!!!) If I were to start now, I will only be able to donate 217 times when I'm 76 years old! >.<"" I don't even know whether I'll still be able to walk on my own when I'm that old.

I believe he started donating blood when he's in army, so that's why by the age of 61, he's able to donate blood for so many times. That's really an achievement for someone who continues (without fail) to donate every year. And I can assure everyone that donating blood is not going to cause harm to your health. You can take it as a health screening and saving lives at the same time. 一举两得!!!! (kill 2 birds with one stone?)

:) Anyway, it's more than 3 months since my last blood donation, so I'm sort of eligible for my 2nd blood donation. Initially I wanted to go during my birthday (which makes it extra meaningful) but I'll be in the camp so don't think I'll be able to make time out for it. So, I'm still looking for a day where I can go down to HSA and make an appointment with the nurses there. :) :) :)

Anyone interested to join me there? :) :) :) *heex!*

Nothing interesting these days. I should say it's BORING!~ IA ain't as fun as it used to be, time passes slow when I wished it to be fast, and fast when I hoped it will go super sl0000www....

Just a little bit of update...

CoE Skit meeting on Sunday (7th June!) went really well and FUN!~ These guys really can come up with the funniest or craziest ideas. *LOL!!!*

They just loved eating bread...(seems like they can't lived without it) and I love playing with their butter! *Whee!* ^_^!!!

:) :) :) Smiles~~

/cheers!~

another week passed!~ saturday is here!~YES!!!~

Thursday, June 04, 2009

Wah!~ Just one word to describe the last few weeks! !!!!BUSY!!!! ^_^

Monday to Friday: Working in ICES, rushing reports, playing Theme hospital (LOL!)

Saturday: Tuition & Japanese Language Class

Sunday: CoE Freshmen Orientation Skit Meeting

Everyday is spent to the fullest, though it's super tiring but very fulfilling as I can do all the stuff that I like and enjoy. I seem to become a better person, always thinking twice before making the final choice. Because I don't want make a wrong choice again. But I'm really happy now because I have my friends around me always cheering me up and supporting me.

IA going to end tomorrow! *sob!* It's really been an enjoyable 6 months, and time really flies! :) Lucky, some of you are going to extend so that I wont be so bored alone. *wheee!*

Things to look forward:
  1. KL Trip
  2. IA Chalet
  3. MSE FOC Camp
  4. My Birthday! (LOL! ^_^!!!)
It's always good to look forward to life! :) :) :)

*Guess the arrangement of the photos*
Took it during our late night stay in company to complete our report. :) Just love these guys! :) :) :)

Deeply touched :)

I was reading the Strait Times online when I chance upon this article "Teen's organs save 8".

I was deeply touched by what the family had done. It is true that to make such a decision is not easy and it takes courage to do that. One has to think, losing someone so dear to you is not something you can forget in 1 day, 10 years down the road or maybe forever.

But, come to think of it, would you be kind enough to others and not let them go through the hurt and sense of lost that you're experiencing now? I believe some will but many won't. Although we are living in a 21st century, everyone's more open-minded to different ways of life, many still think that we come to this world as a whole, we should also leave as one whole. Yes, I agree to a certain extent that it's only right to come and leave as one whole being. However, if I do get to help anyone, be it a small kid or an old lady, I'll definitely helped them. By giving them something that I don't need it anymore (since I'm already dead), and grant them years to live on, I think it's something not everyone can do it.

I think it's a good thing to donate some part of you to others because once you're gone, your family and loved ones will miss you so much. But they can find some 安慰 that some part of you is still living in this world.

Life's short (very short in fact!), so treasure your loved ones, friends and your neighbors (LOL)! Spend more time with them, give them a hug (or even a KISS!) and tell them that they are always in your heart.

It doesn't take much energy to tell someone "I love you", you just need to say it from your heart and that's all it takes to brighten someone's day up! :) :) :)

So, have you brighten someone's day up yet? ^_^!!!

Just celebrated NTU Dearies April Babies birthday! :) :) :) Considering that everyone's busy with IA work and FYP selection, the attendance was good. Thank you all for turning up! *wheee!*

Simple Celebration, dinner @ Mellben Seafood (AMK) with lots of yummy yummy food. Throughout the dinner, it was as though the whole family finally gather together, sitting around the table and chit-chatting among ourselves, updating on each other's status. I miss you guys lots and lots, especially my Honey! *heex!*

Hand-made cards for all April Babies! *Hope you guys like it!* :) :) :)

After dinner, we debate quite a long time before deciding to go the The Coffee Connoisseur (TCC) at the International Building (opposite Far East Plaza). Unfortunately, it was packed with people (it's a Saturday night!), so we went on to The Big O @ Wheelock Place.

Birthday Cakes for all Babies! :) :) :) *yum yum yum!*

One big family! *Cheers to all!*

:) Happen to chance upon this picture and I was mesmerized! The picture speak a thousand words, from the soon sun-set to the clear water and also from the photographer himself. I think it's not an easy task to take such pictures. Wouldn't it be a sight if you happen to be at that place at that time and you looking through the water?

Yeah, it's been a super long time since I had a beer, and I've been longing to try out this place Wala Wala at Holland Village for a long time. So...off we go (straight after work, ZAI right? ^_^) and made our way there.

The Pub:

The place has a quiet and cool atmosphere. The lower deck mostly served food (and drinks as well) and cater to large group of people. You can also watch soccer there (if there's match), but remember it might get really hot since it's not air-conditioned. But no worries, just go on up to the upper deck and you'll feel much cooler there. They also served food and drinks upstairs but it's abit cramp so if you guys are going in a big group, be prepared to separate yourselves out (in different tables). Go earlier (to avoid the peak hours) and you will be able to find plenty of tables.

Food & Beverages:

They served mostly pizzas and pastas. Though there's also a list of snacks you can choose from. We tried their Seafood pizza (YUMMY!) and also the Parma Ham Pizza (which I don't really like because of the ham). The toppings are more than enough and the crust is crispy (crispy thin pizza) and it's really HOT! (good food is always served hot!) We also ordered their Wala Wala Chicken Wings and yes, it's delic-ious! ^_^!!!

A long list of beers and wines is available. And as long as you ordered from opening hours till 9pm, you'll get the 1-for-1 promotion. Yeah, so it's quite affordable for us students (currently working on a very low allowances) to enjoy our beer there.

Live Band:

We decided to go on Thursday because The UnXpected will be there. I must say, they're really GOOD! Enjoyed myself with their music. ^_^! They sing at different pubs so check out their schedule here.

Overall, it was an enjoyable night (though at the end, we're really tired!). I'll definitely go back there sometime soon! This time round, I'll make sure that the next day is not a working day, so I'll be able to drink more! *giggles!*

You guys rocks! ^_^!!!

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

What can you do when you have nothing to do (while working) and trying to make time pass faster? Guess?...?...? YES! That's right! Take pictures!!! ^__^ With a bunch of friends of course! :)

The goggles are so big make my face look a bit smaller? :)

Smiles!!! This is the first time we are slacking inside the lab ^_^! And bosses not around so can play around *lol!*

My 1st Blood Donation!!!

Happy Valentine's DaY!!! Yupz! It's supposed to be a loving day filled with joy and laughter and happines! Unfortunately, it doesnt happen to me. :'( But it's alright, cause I did something more meaningful!

I went for my 1st BLOOD DONATION!!! *whEE!* Why Valentine Day? I think it's double meaningful because not only you're helping to save life, you can also go with your loved one to do it together. Share the joy and happiness together with one another. It's really nice to see couples going there together and also families (the dad will be explaining to his kids that donating blood is not painful but a meaningful thing). It's a warm feeling in HSA (Bloodbank @Health Science Authority) seeing so many people waiting for turn. I waited for almost 3 hours to complete everything (from registration to medical check-up to blood test to donating blood).

Since this is my 1st time donating, the donar aides there are extremely friendly to me. They make me super comfortable while on the lying chair waiting. Blankets for me and many of them will come to you and asked "Are you feeling ok?", always with a smile on their face. I learnt of some facts today:

1) One must be at least 45kg to donate blood. If you weigh from 45 to 49.5kg (estimate), you will donate 300mL of blood. If you weigh more than 50kg, you will be donating 450mL of blood. (I'm not sure whether you can donate more than 450mL of blood.)

2) Donating Blood is NOT PAINFUL!!! Before they insert the super big needle (to suck your blood out, *lol!*), they will inject you with a local painkiller. You might feel a prick (like an ant bite on you). After awhile they insert the super big needle into your flesh. It's not painful at ALL!!! ^_^!

3) The aides there are super nice! They will make sure that your veins can be seen before inserting the needles. So don't worry about them digging into your flesh searching for it :)

Got myself a limited edition watch from them! Wahahaha! ^_^

My goodies from my 1st blood donation!!!

I super like this sticker. So cute and people are really really nice to you! (Should say they treat everyone super nice even though u are already blood donors ^_^)

The hole in my hand. Not too bad cause didnt swollen too much. Heex! :)
