YeSH! I finally look taller.....

Watching tv can help to gain some knowledge. This is true. Hahaha! Especially after watching "America's Next Top Model".

See for yourself.......

I'm just a 1.5+ m tall girl, but in this picture, I kind of look 1.6m tall? Wahahaha! Or am I just dreaming that I look taller? Nah, I don't think so. Anyway, in order to look tall, just point your toes down and straighten your legs and voila....You just grew 4cm taller! LOLOLOL! This is very nice tip for girls that is "not-that-tall" to use! ^_^_^_^_^

Good news! I found my Flying Doreamon kite! Hahaha! Gonna meet up with the person to collect my kite and I can't wait to fly him in the sky! HOHOHO!

Health is IMPORTANT!

I don't know if it's normal for girls like me at this age to feel old and starts to get worried about health problems. But I've been doing some reading on low blood pressure (hypotension) and high blood pressure (hypertension) and what are some ways to maintain the normal blood pressure range.

I think the foremost important way to maintain a normal blood pressure range is to have a balanced healthy meals and drink lots of water. Exercise is also a must for daily activities.

I happen to chance upon to website on the 5 steps to getting started on your fitness program. The 5 simple steps are:

Step 1: Assess your fitness level

Step 2: Design your fitness program

Step 3: Assemble your equipment

Step 4: Get started

Step 5: Monitor your progress

You can find more details at here. Credits to Mayo Clinic. :) :) :)

Trust me, we should take good care of our own health when we're young. Health complications usually come as we age, therefore, keeping a good health will delay such complications from entering our lives at such an early stage.

Quest for Immortality

Finally I stepped into the National Museum of Singapore (like after so many years)!!! All thanks to the Quest for Immortality, Egypt Collection! Being a student has its own benefits, other than not having enough money to spend every month, some places would offer special student rates (to lessen our 负担). NMS (in short for National Museum of Singapore) allows us students to enter for FREE! *giggles!* But not to worry too much, for public the entry is SGD15, or you can just borrow someone's else card to bluff your way through since the receptionist didn't really check the card. ^_^_^_^

I spent like 1 hour solving the puzzles, mainly decoding some strange codes/pictures. It's quite interesting because the Egyptian actually drew some really complicated drawings to communicate in the past. I wonder how long their students will take to write a 250-300 words composition. =.=||| *lame!*

Because no flashlight is allowed inside, so most of the photos are quite dark. But this one lucky statue happened to be right under the light, so it's very clear. But I realized that it's quite scary around the eyes area.Hollow and dark........

One more! :) :) :) Museum tour can be quite fun and exciting! HOHO!!!

3 第一次 in one night!

What a exciting night! :) :) :) Life's great with so many unpredictable and exciting events happening on you, don't you agree? 3 第一次s in one night is definitely going to spice up my life and make me a HAPPIER person on Earth! ^_^!!!

1st 第一次: Dinner @ Beppu Dinning Restaurant, ate some "Demon" ramen. I decided to try their level 2 spiciness = WRONG decision! It's super hot, till I don't dare to drink the soup and tried to drain all the soup from the ramen before going inside my mouth! >.<"" But the crispy chicken is nice (I LIKE!), 够味道! *HAHA!*

2nd 第一次: KOI Bubble tea!!!! Finally managed to get my hands on a cup of bubble tea! Usually when I first try a bubble tea shop, I will go for their milk tea first. KOI is not an exception, ordered a small 25% sugar milk tea (unfortunately their pearls sold out! :( ) But it's really nice (just a bit not sweet, which is healthy!). Ohh, in order to add on some sweetness, I ate a D24 durian pancake! *Deliciooouuuussss.....and SINFUL!*

3rd 第一次: Yangtze Cinema! After such a long time (from IA last year till now), we finally made our way there. Of course, it's not that easy to find the cinema. We walked around the mall trying to locate the cinema (and the worst thing I'm wearing heels OMG!), up the escalator and walkways...and finally, at this wulu corner, there's an entrance to the ticket kiosk! *YEAH!* But, I didn't buy a ticket to watch. *tsk tsk!* But I'm definitely going back one day to watch a movie and see what those uncles are doing inside...umbrellas and newspapers READY TO GO! Anyone interested, please drop me a message!  ^_^_^_^!!!

It's a once a lifetime thing!

Warning: Please do not go alone to such places alone as "senior citizens" (UNCLES!) are seen walking around the premises. Safety is IMPORTANT! :) :) :)

Instead of a R21 movie, we went to GV Plaza for a late night show: The Spy Next Door, starring Jackie Chan. 3 words to describe the movie: cute, funny and entertaining (at least I didn't fell asleep)! :) :) :)

Cab home after that! Few more hours to shopping trip! *WHEEE!*

Eyes so tired from wearing contacts for >12 hours. I'm still not used to wearing contacts! *urgh!* :(

As promised, these are some of the pics (I personally love) taken on our kite flying trip! :) :) :)

My dearies in NTU! You guys are ♥!

Picture's a bit blur, but all of us are in the AIR!

1st night shot! :) not too bad...

Quite an artistic shot, dreamy feeling, and all of us have different expressions ^_^_^_^_^!!!

We got ourselves wet from playing with water...but it was fun! haha! now I can understand why kids love to run around in the water. It's cooling, it helps to clean your feet (eee, so many feet-s in there) and the sound of splashing water is so smoothing.

Dinner was at Wendy's (老巴刹) eating the 3/4 pounds of burger! *WOW!* Damn big, but niceeeee....Considering to challenge myself with eating the burger all by myself next time. >.<"" I will be super bloated (that's for sure!) :) :) :)

Ohh, and not to forget, this year we already celebrated 3 birthdays! :) :) :) Hahaha! Birthdays always make me HAPPY!

Saturday, January 16, 2010

I think I got a new hobby (out of a sudden). And guess what, it's totally random! KITE FLYING! Hahaha! Don't ask me why I suddenly got this idea, just go try and fly your own kite and you'll know that it's super FUN! :) :) :) but tiring as well.

You will get a sense of achievement when you see that your kite is high up in the sky with the blue sky as the background and flowing gracefully through the clouds (maybe not that high *giggles*). And it's not that easy to do that (OK!), lots of skills are needed like: strength of wind + direction of wind + whether place is crowded (if yes, then you've limited space to run around) + quality of kite + what type of string is used + luck. Hahaha! This is all from my point of view though.

Nevertheless, I intend to buy a good and durable kite with the look-professional string with reeling type like a fishing rod for the next round of kite-flying. Maybe it helps me to fly my kite easier and also to reel it back when the kite falls back down (save a lot of time coiling the string back).

Pictures to be uploaded at a later post! It's almost 3am in the morning! *YAWNZ!*

Sometimes, money is not everything. Don't always think that money is everything and it can solve all the problems.

I believe that happiness is more important.

It sadden me whenever money is involved between us. Is money really that important to you?

Totally addicted to PP stream these days. Whenever I'm home, I'll be sitting in front of the computer and watching drams related to forensics. I swear I'm becoming a "仔女" soon. =.=|| But just can't help it, some of these shows are so good that I would stay up into the wee hours just to complete the whole series! :) :) :) which leads to the fact that I'm not sleeping enough and my face condition is going to get worse! :'(

Ok, I think I should have a plan when school re-opens. Daily sleep intake should be at least 7 hours which means that 11.30 pm (latest) in bed. That's a bit hard but I should be able to do it.

Ohh one MORE important thing, I have around 6 months to slim down to my ideal weight (and I'm not going to tell you what it is) for my brother's big day! So that means consistent exercising and good diet. Every alternate days to exercise (most probably running and swimming) and going to gym to try getting my arms muscles firmer. LOL! 说得比做得容易, BUT I'm still going to try...anyone interested to join me? hahaha! ^_^!!!

がんばって!!!

Before 2009 ends, I decided to eat something sweet to welcome the brand new year. ^_^!!! We dropped by Ah Chew Desserts (around Bugis) to grab a bite! :) :) :) It was quite crowded (business is really good!) but manage to find some seats! :)

We tried the Pulot Hitam (黑罗米 in coconut milk), Black Sesame paste (黑芝麻糊) and Papaya Milk (木瓜鲜奶). The pulot hitam looks really nice when served and I didn't want to ruin the look but have no choice as the coconut milk needs to be mixed properly. It wasn't very sweet but rich in the black glutinous rice taste! DELICIOUS! :) :) :)

Black sesame paste is thick enough for me and not very sweet. I realized that most of their desserts doesn't taste so sweet (although desserts have to be sweet) which is good for me and of course the elderly! :) :) :)

Lastly, the hot papaya milk is served! Hmmm, this is my first try (I never believe papaya will help to boast breast enlargement) and it wasn't that bad. The papaya is super soft and not much smell left because all the smell is already inside the milk. I couldn't finish the milk because milk taste + papaya = a smell that I can't take it. HAHAHA! I think if I'm going to order this dessert again, I will choose a cold one. Maybe the smell won't be so strong. :) :) :)

After desserts, we walked down to Marina for the fireworks. As usual, it's super crowded (with lots of "black people") and lucky we manage to find an empty space to rest first. Finally, it's time to stand up and count down! :) :) :)

New year supposed to be a happy day, but turn out to be a scary night for me. Just 1 minute into the fireworks, I saw a spray can flew across my head and hit onto a "black guy" and it re-bounces onto my friend's leg. At first, he just touch his head (and I guess it's really painful) and thought nothing of it until I saw his shirt becomes RED! Wow! At the same time, he turned to his friend (beside him) and I saw blood flowing down his forehead. OMG OMG OMG!!! I was scared shitless (literately) and kept on moving backwards because he was trying to get rid of his blood. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring tissue out and couldn't afford to give him some. I was so upset that I didn't enjoy much of the fireworks and left once the whole show ended!

So, the next time you wished to go for such major down count event, wear a HELMET! You never know when a 黑心人 will throw a spray can at you.

Fake eyelash is troublesome!

Hahahaha! :) :) :) It's a totally random post! After viewing a few You-tube videos on how to put on fake eyelashes, I decided to try to put on some fake eyelash on my eyes! ^_^_^_^_^ Just recently, I bought 3 pairs of fake eyelashes so I decide to put them to good use.

With the help of QW, I finally managed to put on the eyelashes and still look not too bad. ^_^!!!

Unfortunately, I realized that the lashes are too long and if I wear my specs, it will become very uncomfortable. *bleah!* Too bad I don't have contact lenses (I don't dare to wear them! >.<"") so for that night I'm a blind girl!

Maybe I should really go get a pair of contact lenses. 爱美不要命 I agree with this phase now. *HAHAHA!*

On a boring night.......

On a boring night, I have no one and nothing to do, so I made a call to my buddies and decided to have dinner together! But the next problem is where shall we have dinner? Hmmm..hmmm...hmmm...orchard here we go! Hahaha! I left home around 8pm to go orchard (my first time!!!) but met Karin to take the train down so I won't be so lonely. :) :) :)

Dinner was at Wisma Atria Food Republic Teppanyaki Express! For a set meal of main course + rice + soup, it cost about $8.50. The main course includes a meat + bean sprout + veggies. It's really nice, just a bit too spicy for me.>.<"" Hehehe!

Next, we went on to Cine-leisure to find a movie to watch. All the shows are "selling fast" so we can only get "good" seats for Sherlock Holmes at 12.20am. Since it was still early, we went to find a cafe to "nua" to pass the time.

We settled for Coffee Bean @ 313 Somerset! :) :) :)

We nua-ed till the waiter "chased" us away because they need to close shop. :) :) :) We walked back to Cine-leisure for our show, and surprisingly, it was crowded with people. Nowadays, I wondered whether Singaporeans (especially Youth!) sleep at night or in the morning?....

Finished the show at 3am and waited for the Night-rider home! :) :) :)

I'm admitting I'm OLD! Can't even keep my eyes open when I reached home. :(

Monday, December 28, 2009

:) :) :) Wednesday met up with secondary buddies for a day of gaming! We decided to try out the Safra Game Haven @ Clarke Quay. It's December now, thus lots of kids are out playing LAN games, so we have to find a place that won't be so crowded to accommodate us (quite a big group!).

Made the booking and went back to The Central to have lunch @ Manhattan Fish Market.

Our Lunch for the DAY! :) :) :)

Yummy food = Happy US! ^_^!!!

Right after lunch, we went on to Game Haven to play! :) :) :) Quite a nice place, though the price is a bit more as compared to The Big O. But the one good thing is less crowded! The computers there not too bad, but when we are playing, it becomes laggy. Ohh, another thing they should improve on it to stop making the computer so automatic. In another words, if we played for 2 hours, at exactly 2 hours the computer will auto log out which is very frustrating when you are half way through a map. >.<""" Not a bad experience there and might consider going back there. :) :) :)  *No photos from Game Haven :( *

Walking around Clarke Quay, and a quick snap shot! :) :) :)

After 5 hours (or so) of games, we are still full from the lunch so we decided to have a drink at Clarke Quay. So many pubs and hard to make a decision and so we just popped down at Clinic. The drinks were good but a little better service from the waitress will make the experience much better.

:) :) :) Great Night and we should do this more often! hahaha!~~~~

Tepas Tree @ Changi Village!

Remember I won some vouchers from Class 95 Love Songs a few months ago? Hehe! It's the $150 worth of Tepas Tree vouchers plus a complimentary bottle of red wine. :) Finally, I have the time (and chance) to make full use of these vouchers! *WHEE!*

There are 3 Tepas Tree branches in Singapore, and after looking through the reviews, we decided to go and try out the Changi Village branch. We reached there a bit late and it was already quite crowded. The worse thing is there was only 2 waitresses and 1 chef. So you can imagine how long we waited to be seated and being served our first dish.

So while waiting, we talked crap and drank our wine (on empty stomach) to pass the time.

Soon after that, our dishes are being served! :) :) :) I would say the portions is big enough, but because we were so hungry waiting for our food, we gobble them up in record time, BUT not without snapping some shots first. *heex!*

My favorite of all these side dishes is the Meatball in Tomato sauce (I ordered that, ok?)!!! HAHAHA! The sauce is thick and sourish with a tint of sweetness. Super appetizing and somehow it helps to settle my stomach a bit because of the wine.

The main course arrive, the Seafood Paella, which consists of white rice, green vegetables and combination of meat (chicken and pork) and of course Seafood! :) :) :) I would say this is a "everything-all-mixed-together" rice cooked in a pan. /giggles. But the taste is there and we managed to finish the WHOLE pan!

Of course, we mustn't forgot about the desserts.

I can't remember the name of this dish though. It's just dipped the ring into the chocolate and eat it. I didn't quite like it because the ring thingy tends to get struck inside my teeth whenever I bite it (it's quite sticky) but the chocolate is nice. So I just keep on licking on the chocolate instead of eating the whole dessert. :) :) :)

After an hour plus of food, we finally surrendered! Our stomach is bloated and we called for our bill. Surprisingly, we didn't exceed the $150 limit and we decided to give it a pass (can't take in anymore food!). We left with a smile on the face and a super duper big stomach. :) :) :)

Since we're soooo full, we went to the beach for a walk to digest a bit and also to look around for some "pretty girls" (whether they're really girls, we can't be 100% sure). Quite a sight because these "girls" are really pretty and good FIGURE! hahahaha!

Enough of food and girls! ^_^!!!!~~

New Year's approaching and I just can't wait for 31st Dec to come so I can count down to a brand new year.

Honestly, I think 2009 is quite a short year, partly because the 1st half of the year is spent almost on another island. *giggles!* Doing my attachment at ICES at Jurong Island with lots of buddies! They just made me wanna go work everyday early in the morning! :) :) :)

The Big MSE Family! :) :) :)

Smiles! :) :) :) They just make my day happier!

One word to describe this picture: Happy! (NTU + NUS friends!)

2nd part of the year is back to old times: SCHOOL! :) :) :) I took some time to get use to the studying hours, attending lectures + tutorials. FYP (unfortunately) didn't take  up much of my time, but I spent most of the time doing lots of random stuff (which I can't remember, LOL!)

Then, comes the EXAMS! And, as usual, during the exam study week you got to wake up super early and zoom down to the library for a seat and it's like you reached home at 12 midnight the day before. Super tiring but no choice (last year, must CHIONG ah). :) :) :)

Even though busy, there's still time for all these:

Chinese New Year Gathering @ Cedric's House :)

Cindy's Birthday Surprise! :) :) :)

Break after "never-ending" quizzes! :) :) :)

Super summarize post for a year of FUN. Though there are tears, it's all worth it because I always believe in no pain no gain. HOHOHO! :) :) :) But from now on, I'll treasure my friends and those around me MORE! You've my words! :) :) :)

Tuesday, December 08, 2009

Now I can understand the feeling of sending someone off. All you can see is only the back view. It makes me very emotional, because you never know when you are going to see that person again. I always say time passes like nobody's business, that's only true when you wanted time to stop. But when you wanted time to zoom by, it never listens to you, it will take it's own sweet time and slowly second by second move by. I'm just asking for 4 days, is that a lot to ask for? :( :( :(

Anyway, when you're feeling down, the best place to go is places where your friends are. :) :) :)

Have dinner with Sarah + Han + Famin @ Ichiban Sushi (my favourite Japanese restaurant!!!) Plaza Singapura. After dinner is dessert at Ice Monster and finally we went down to "Big O" to kick some zombies' asses! Honestly, it helps to take my mind off the long long 4 days! We manage to finish the first map + 4 stages of the 2nd map before we surrendered. It's quite tiring to stare at so many zombies and trying to evade them at the same time. Hahaha! But it was FUN!!! :) :) :) Travel around Singapore after that because Han sent Famin (YiShun) followed by Saran (Tampines) and finally ME!!!

Tori Maru Cheese Chicken (My all time favorite!) Yummy!!!

Han: Beef with Tofu + Egg (delicious!!!)

Sarah + Me!!! :) :) :)
Long night and hopefully I can have a dream that can make me wake up smiling happily. :) :) :)

*4 more days!*

Exams are OVER! *WHEEE!*

:) :) :) Great news is that exams are finally over, and I'm left with 3 more papers before I leave NTU. ^_^!!! That's sound great, but at the same time, I felt a bit too fast to graduate from school. It seems that time passes like nobody's business, and soon I need to start working and earning my own money.

Anyway, since I had finished my papers, I decided to have some fun, but the weather didnt permit and I had to cancel my Southern Ridges trip and instead went to do some shopping at Vivocity. :) Happen to get a free cup of Mocha Frappe at Starbucks! YUMMY!!!

Long queue, but the service is quite fast, it didn't take more than 15 minutes for them to serve my drink!! :) :) :)

I just love Starbucks' Mocha Frappe :) :) :)

Dinner was at the Outram Park Ya Hua Bak Ku Teh @ Telok Blangah (somewhere near Keppel Road).

Nice, and affordable!~ :) :) :)

Next was L4D 2 (Left 4 Dead 2) at Big O! One word to describe: "SHIOK!" It's been a few months since my last game of L4D (I think right after my IA ends) so I took some time to warm-up and kill some zombies asses! *HAHA!* I think this 2nd edition is a bit hard compared to the first, cause we took about 2.5 hours to clear one map (maybe it's because the map is new to us, so not that familiar)?

You've been forewarned, dizziness cannot be avoided if you have not played a 3D game for a long time. :) Imagine lots of zombies surrounding you, and you have to turn all around just to kill them all. *_*

After that, it's Home sweet HOME!

P.S: Time to exercise to get rid of all the weight gain from EXAM Stress! :) :) :)

Bunny~!!!

:) I happened to chance upon this website on the different forecasts of zodiac signs for the Year 2010. Quite interesting, and since I'm a raddit (and most of my friends), this might be "informative" for you guys. :) :) :)

The Rabbit
Cuddly, warm and affectionate are the attributes of the Rabbit. Mysterious and a great party-giver and host, the Rabbit enjoys being the centre of attention once in a while. The Rabbit is occasionally over cautious and can be a bit boring. He is also one of the luckiest signs in the Chinese Astrology chart.

Forecast for 2010
The focus will be on the Rabbit’s career and job prospects during the Year of the Tiger, with unexpected promotions and recognition very likely. Travel is also highlighted, with short breaks and spontaneous, fun trips featuring during the late Spring and early Summer. Healthwise, the Rabbit could find the speed of the Tiger year exhausting and it’s important he balance work with rest and relaxation. Promotion at work or in the Rabbit’s career will be sure to feature and they need to act quickly – no hanging back to see what happens! Some Rabbits will be dissatisfied with their current living arrangements and the perfect new home may appear most unexpectedly – they must act quickly and not miss out! Friendships will play a big role during 2010 with possibly one or two friends needing extra care and help. May and October to January will bring special and fun social gatherings. February and March will be significant and fortunate for those looking to change jobs while July and August will be most auspicious for single Rabbits looking for love – an unexpected liaison could result from a work related social event.

Interesting Rabbit Facts:
Zodiac Stone: Pearl
Special Flower: Jonquil
Best Hours: 5-7 am
Season: Spring
Horoscope Colors: Grey, White
