Finally, I get to try out Aston Specialties at East Coast Road :) :) :)

Food

Most of the meals served with 2 other sides order from potato salad all the way to onion rings.

Black Pepper Fish ( with Potato Salad & Tasty rice) SGD7.20

The fish was nicely grilled with a bit of crisp on the outside and juicy in the inside. The meat was soft and sweet, so it's was definitely fresh. The black pepper sauce that comes with it was good. It has a strong peppery taste and when you eat it with the fish, it explodes it your mouth (I love the sauce!).

The potato salad uses the red-skin potato so it's definitely more tasty. But the tasty rice was off our expectations because there wasn't any taste in it (Not even butter taste!). It's as though you're eating plain rice.

Hickory BBQ Chicken (with Onion Rings & Coleslaw) SGD6.50

The chicken was nicely done and the bbq sauce wasn't that sourish (unlike some of the restaurant). Quite a nice combination because the chicken was marinated with some herbs (I guess) and when you eat it there's some other taste besides the sauce itself.

I love the Coleslaw (very much!) because it's a bit of sourish which helps to open up your appetite and the veggies are very crunchy! :) *yummY!*

Cream of Mushrooms (with toasted Garlic Bread)

Lots of mushrooms it in and the cream wasn't that thick for you to swallow down. The taste wasn't that bitter too (I have tried some really bitter cream of mushrooms >.<"). Very simple dish. The portion of the food was just nice for me. But I guess for guys, might not be that filling, so I suggest getting another side orders.

Services

The queue was super long when we reached outside (around 6.30pm). They will hand you the menu so you can have a look through and decide on what's going to be on your table for your dinner. From what I see, they doesn't go with the first come first serve basis. As long as there's table for 2, they will let you in first even though there's still queue in front of you. If you're going as a big group, I guess you might have to wait a longer time.

I waited quite long for my chicken (and it's really long because people that came later had already finished half of their food before my dinner turns up). It's either they forgot my orders or they messed it up with other tables. As part of their services, they gave me the Cream of Mushrooms (on the house!) to compensate for the waiting time.

Ambiance

A small restaurant with a high demand of customers (thus, the super long queue). It was a cosy place but a bit too squeeze-y (until you can hear what the people is talking besides your table). But I think it's good place for a dinner with your loved ones and friends at affordable rates.

Just celebrated NTU Dearies April Babies birthday! :) :) :) Considering that everyone's busy with IA work and FYP selection, the attendance was good. Thank you all for turning up! *wheee!*

Simple Celebration, dinner @ Mellben Seafood (AMK) with lots of yummy yummy food. Throughout the dinner, it was as though the whole family finally gather together, sitting around the table and chit-chatting among ourselves, updating on each other's status. I miss you guys lots and lots, especially my Honey! *heex!*

Hand-made cards for all April Babies! *Hope you guys like it!* :) :) :)

After dinner, we debate quite a long time before deciding to go the The Coffee Connoisseur (TCC) at the International Building (opposite Far East Plaza). Unfortunately, it was packed with people (it's a Saturday night!), so we went on to The Big O @ Wheelock Place.

Birthday Cakes for all Babies! :) :) :) *yum yum yum!*

One big family! *Cheers to all!*

Just came back from KL short getaway! (About one week ago, heex!) :) Overall the whole trip cost me around SG315 (including the Coach services to and fro, 2 nights of accommodation and spending).

Coach Services from 5 Star travel (SGD75)

For the convenience, I decided to buy the coach tickets from 5 Stars since they have a travel agency branch at Jurong Point outlet. The good thing about 5 Stars is that they are able to drop and pick us up at the hotel that we're staying in: Royale Bintang Hotel. In this way, we are to check-in faster and have a later check-out. But if you're planning to have a comfortable 5-hours of journey, I suggest Glassland agency as they've better coach services (of course with higher prices).

Accommodation @ Royale Bintang Hotel (MYR 218 per night, around SGD92)

I had stayed in this hotel with my family once during my 1st trip to KL. I think that the location of the hotel is good (along the Bukit Bintang Road) and they have good services. It is a 4-star hotel so I think the prices are considered reasonable. The room is big enough for us and it's clean with all the necessary facilities. The only meal we had in the hotel is the breakfast (inclusive of the accommodation price). It's a buffet style which serves different variety of food from Western to Asian delights. If you're planning to have a shopping trip in KL, this hotel is highly recommended because once you step out of the hotel, walk straight ahead is a whole stretch of shopping malls for you to shop till you drop! ^_^!!! There's also the subway stations located just 5 minutes from the hotel, so you can travel around KL easily without having to worry about the never die traffic jam! :)

I didn't spend much in KL because it wasn't their sales period. Without the sales, the things there are considered expensive since it's around the same price as compared to Singapore (if not, even more). Instead of doing shopping, we went to the KL Convention Center (KLCC) to try our luck to go up the Petronas Twin Tower. Unfortunately, we did not manage to do so. They only offered 1300 tickets daily (for free) and I was told that tourists usually start to queue for the tickets as early as 6am in the morning even though the ticket office opens at 830am. You'll be able to go up the 42nd floor where the sky bridge is and have a magnificent view of KL. However, you'll only be able to stay on the bridge for 10 minutes only. So, if you really get to step up so high in the sky, make full use of the time because I think it's going to be really beautiful up there! :) :) :)

Aquaria KLCC which is located inside the KLCC itself is considered one of the largest oceanarium in south-east Asia. If you're a student, remember to bring along your student card because you get to have a discounted price of MYR25 (adult price is MYR38) even though you're not their citizen. They have a really long plexiglass tunnel for us to walkthrough and see sharks and other species of fishes swimming beside you or above your head. If you have seen the Underwater World in Sentosa, Aquaria KLCC is something that is beyond your imagination.

Berjaya Times Square is the largest shopping mall in Malaysia (located just behind Royale Bintang Hotel) with the largest Borders bookshop, Cold Storage in South-east asia. Inside the shopping mall is the largest indoor themepark: Cosmo's World Theme Park. If you like those super exciting roller coaster and rides that make you go dizzy, this is the place for you! :) Besides having all the shops and theme parks, they also have a cinema that shows latest movies. One thing different about them is that at different timings, they have different prices for the tickets. Interesting right? :)

Lots of good food to explore and enjoy along the streets and bargain prices for shopping! KL is definitely one of the must-go place for a relaxing holiday! :) :) :)

Just started on my driving theory lessons. OMG! I thought basic should be quite easy but then during practicing I failed 2 out of 3 booklets. Yeah, don't laugh ok?! Hmmm I supposed I didnt read my book properly or it's because the whole room is full of foreign workers! Hahaha! :) I'm going to try my luck again this coming Thursday. Hopefully this time round, there isn't much people around because it can get really cramped!

Anyway, it's going to be a super long journey for me and I don't really looked forward. I can only prayed hard I don't get myself in trouble. Especially during driving on the road. Don't worry guys, I'll inform you guys beforehand to look out for me if I'm on the road. Just stay clear and you all should be fine ^_^

*Looking forward to the long weekend! Wheeee!!!*
