On a boring night.......

On a boring night, I have no one and nothing to do, so I made a call to my buddies and decided to have dinner together! But the next problem is where shall we have dinner? Hmmm..hmmm...hmmm...orchard here we go! Hahaha! I left home around 8pm to go orchard (my first time!!!) but met Karin to take the train down so I won't be so lonely. :) :) :)

Dinner was at Wisma Atria Food Republic Teppanyaki Express! For a set meal of main course + rice + soup, it cost about $8.50. The main course includes a meat + bean sprout + veggies. It's really nice, just a bit too spicy for me.>.<"" Hehehe!

Next, we went on to Cine-leisure to find a movie to watch. All the shows are "selling fast" so we can only get "good" seats for Sherlock Holmes at 12.20am. Since it was still early, we went to find a cafe to "nua" to pass the time.

We settled for Coffee Bean @ 313 Somerset! :) :) :)

We nua-ed till the waiter "chased" us away because they need to close shop. :) :) :) We walked back to Cine-leisure for our show, and surprisingly, it was crowded with people. Nowadays, I wondered whether Singaporeans (especially Youth!) sleep at night or in the morning?....

Finished the show at 3am and waited for the Night-rider home! :) :) :)

I'm admitting I'm OLD! Can't even keep my eyes open when I reached home. :(

:) :) :) Wednesday met up with secondary buddies for a day of gaming! We decided to try out the Safra Game Haven @ Clarke Quay. It's December now, thus lots of kids are out playing LAN games, so we have to find a place that won't be so crowded to accommodate us (quite a big group!).

Made the booking and went back to The Central to have lunch @ Manhattan Fish Market.

Our Lunch for the DAY! :) :) :)

Yummy food = Happy US! ^_^!!!

Right after lunch, we went on to Game Haven to play! :) :) :) Quite a nice place, though the price is a bit more as compared to The Big O. But the one good thing is less crowded! The computers there not too bad, but when we are playing, it becomes laggy. Ohh, another thing they should improve on it to stop making the computer so automatic. In another words, if we played for 2 hours, at exactly 2 hours the computer will auto log out which is very frustrating when you are half way through a map. >.<""" Not a bad experience there and might consider going back there. :) :) :)  *No photos from Game Haven :( *

Walking around Clarke Quay, and a quick snap shot! :) :) :)

After 5 hours (or so) of games, we are still full from the lunch so we decided to have a drink at Clarke Quay. So many pubs and hard to make a decision and so we just popped down at Clinic. The drinks were good but a little better service from the waitress will make the experience much better.

:) :) :) Great Night and we should do this more often! hahaha!~~~~

Tepas Tree @ Changi Village!

Remember I won some vouchers from Class 95 Love Songs a few months ago? Hehe! It's the $150 worth of Tepas Tree vouchers plus a complimentary bottle of red wine. :) Finally, I have the time (and chance) to make full use of these vouchers! *WHEE!*

There are 3 Tepas Tree branches in Singapore, and after looking through the reviews, we decided to go and try out the Changi Village branch. We reached there a bit late and it was already quite crowded. The worse thing is there was only 2 waitresses and 1 chef. So you can imagine how long we waited to be seated and being served our first dish.

So while waiting, we talked crap and drank our wine (on empty stomach) to pass the time.

Soon after that, our dishes are being served! :) :) :) I would say the portions is big enough, but because we were so hungry waiting for our food, we gobble them up in record time, BUT not without snapping some shots first. *heex!*

My favorite of all these side dishes is the Meatball in Tomato sauce (I ordered that, ok?)!!! HAHAHA! The sauce is thick and sourish with a tint of sweetness. Super appetizing and somehow it helps to settle my stomach a bit because of the wine.

The main course arrive, the Seafood Paella, which consists of white rice, green vegetables and combination of meat (chicken and pork) and of course Seafood! :) :) :) I would say this is a "everything-all-mixed-together" rice cooked in a pan. /giggles. But the taste is there and we managed to finish the WHOLE pan!

Of course, we mustn't forgot about the desserts.

I can't remember the name of this dish though. It's just dipped the ring into the chocolate and eat it. I didn't quite like it because the ring thingy tends to get struck inside my teeth whenever I bite it (it's quite sticky) but the chocolate is nice. So I just keep on licking on the chocolate instead of eating the whole dessert. :) :) :)

After an hour plus of food, we finally surrendered! Our stomach is bloated and we called for our bill. Surprisingly, we didn't exceed the $150 limit and we decided to give it a pass (can't take in anymore food!). We left with a smile on the face and a super duper big stomach. :) :) :)

Since we're soooo full, we went to the beach for a walk to digest a bit and also to look around for some "pretty girls" (whether they're really girls, we can't be 100% sure). Quite a sight because these "girls" are really pretty and good FIGURE! hahahaha!

Enough of food and girls! ^_^!!!!~~

New Year's approaching and I just can't wait for 31st Dec to come so I can count down to a brand new year.

Honestly, I think 2009 is quite a short year, partly because the 1st half of the year is spent almost on another island. *giggles!* Doing my attachment at ICES at Jurong Island with lots of buddies! They just made me wanna go work everyday early in the morning! :) :) :)

The Big MSE Family! :) :) :)

Smiles! :) :) :) They just make my day happier!

One word to describe this picture: Happy! (NTU + NUS friends!)

2nd part of the year is back to old times: SCHOOL! :) :) :) I took some time to get use to the studying hours, attending lectures + tutorials. FYP (unfortunately) didn't take  up much of my time, but I spent most of the time doing lots of random stuff (which I can't remember, LOL!)

Then, comes the EXAMS! And, as usual, during the exam study week you got to wake up super early and zoom down to the library for a seat and it's like you reached home at 12 midnight the day before. Super tiring but no choice (last year, must CHIONG ah). :) :) :)

Even though busy, there's still time for all these:

Chinese New Year Gathering @ Cedric's House :)

Cindy's Birthday Surprise! :) :) :)

Break after "never-ending" quizzes! :) :) :)

Super summarize post for a year of FUN. Though there are tears, it's all worth it because I always believe in no pain no gain. HOHOHO! :) :) :) But from now on, I'll treasure my friends and those around me MORE! You've my words! :) :) :)

Tuesday, December 08, 2009

Now I can understand the feeling of sending someone off. All you can see is only the back view. It makes me very emotional, because you never know when you are going to see that person again. I always say time passes like nobody's business, that's only true when you wanted time to stop. But when you wanted time to zoom by, it never listens to you, it will take it's own sweet time and slowly second by second move by. I'm just asking for 4 days, is that a lot to ask for? :( :( :(

Anyway, when you're feeling down, the best place to go is places where your friends are. :) :) :)

Have dinner with Sarah + Han + Famin @ Ichiban Sushi (my favourite Japanese restaurant!!!) Plaza Singapura. After dinner is dessert at Ice Monster and finally we went down to "Big O" to kick some zombies' asses! Honestly, it helps to take my mind off the long long 4 days! We manage to finish the first map + 4 stages of the 2nd map before we surrendered. It's quite tiring to stare at so many zombies and trying to evade them at the same time. Hahaha! But it was FUN!!! :) :) :) Travel around Singapore after that because Han sent Famin (YiShun) followed by Saran (Tampines) and finally ME!!!

Tori Maru Cheese Chicken (My all time favorite!) Yummy!!!

Han: Beef with Tofu + Egg (delicious!!!)

Sarah + Me!!! :) :) :)
Long night and hopefully I can have a dream that can make me wake up smiling happily. :) :) :)

*4 more days!*

Exams are OVER! *WHEEE!*

:) :) :) Great news is that exams are finally over, and I'm left with 3 more papers before I leave NTU. ^_^!!! That's sound great, but at the same time, I felt a bit too fast to graduate from school. It seems that time passes like nobody's business, and soon I need to start working and earning my own money.

Anyway, since I had finished my papers, I decided to have some fun, but the weather didnt permit and I had to cancel my Southern Ridges trip and instead went to do some shopping at Vivocity. :) Happen to get a free cup of Mocha Frappe at Starbucks! YUMMY!!!

Long queue, but the service is quite fast, it didn't take more than 15 minutes for them to serve my drink!! :) :) :)

I just love Starbucks' Mocha Frappe :) :) :)

Dinner was at the Outram Park Ya Hua Bak Ku Teh @ Telok Blangah (somewhere near Keppel Road).

Nice, and affordable!~ :) :) :)

Next was L4D 2 (Left 4 Dead 2) at Big O! One word to describe: "SHIOK!" It's been a few months since my last game of L4D (I think right after my IA ends) so I took some time to warm-up and kill some zombies asses! *HAHA!* I think this 2nd edition is a bit hard compared to the first, cause we took about 2.5 hours to clear one map (maybe it's because the map is new to us, so not that familiar)?

You've been forewarned, dizziness cannot be avoided if you have not played a 3D game for a long time. :) Imagine lots of zombies surrounding you, and you have to turn all around just to kill them all. *_*

After that, it's Home sweet HOME!

P.S: Time to exercise to get rid of all the weight gain from EXAM Stress! :) :) :)

Bunny~!!!

:) I happened to chance upon this website on the different forecasts of zodiac signs for the Year 2010. Quite interesting, and since I'm a raddit (and most of my friends), this might be "informative" for you guys. :) :) :)

The Rabbit
Cuddly, warm and affectionate are the attributes of the Rabbit. Mysterious and a great party-giver and host, the Rabbit enjoys being the centre of attention once in a while. The Rabbit is occasionally over cautious and can be a bit boring. He is also one of the luckiest signs in the Chinese Astrology chart.

Forecast for 2010
The focus will be on the Rabbit’s career and job prospects during the Year of the Tiger, with unexpected promotions and recognition very likely. Travel is also highlighted, with short breaks and spontaneous, fun trips featuring during the late Spring and early Summer. Healthwise, the Rabbit could find the speed of the Tiger year exhausting and it’s important he balance work with rest and relaxation. Promotion at work or in the Rabbit’s career will be sure to feature and they need to act quickly – no hanging back to see what happens! Some Rabbits will be dissatisfied with their current living arrangements and the perfect new home may appear most unexpectedly – they must act quickly and not miss out! Friendships will play a big role during 2010 with possibly one or two friends needing extra care and help. May and October to January will bring special and fun social gatherings. February and March will be significant and fortunate for those looking to change jobs while July and August will be most auspicious for single Rabbits looking for love – an unexpected liaison could result from a work related social event.

Interesting Rabbit Facts:
Zodiac Stone: Pearl
Special Flower: Jonquil
Best Hours: 5-7 am
Season: Spring
Horoscope Colors: Grey, White

Pronounced brain dead! 11 more hours to the dreadful paper. I always have no fate with 4AU papers, so I'm really scared that I will do badly for this paper. I can't afford to get anymore bad grades for the last 2 semesters in my Uni. I've got to get a good grade in order to push myself to get at least a decent honors.

Super tired but I just can't get to sleep, words just keep on flying across my mind.

I really need all my luck now! :'( :'(

I'm not looking for a rich guy,
Neither am i looking for a brilliant guy
I just want a normal guy who loves me.

Simple things in my simplest life

Nowadays tomato is one of my favorite fruits (yeah, it's not a veggie!) and you know what makes me super happy is that I can grow my own. Haha!~ Not the real tomatoes, but in virtual game.

Some of the Facebook applications really makes me happy. Take for example, Country Story, you see those big ripe yummy tomatoes! It's so cute!~ And the moo moo cow that gives me milk everyday to keep me healthy! *giggles!* ^_^!!!

 Shinning Christmas tree

You can actually go into this Christmas tree and from inside able to see all the light bulbs and ornaments hanging above your head. It can dazzle your eyes with all the "bling bling" stuff. ^_^!!!

Christmas Tree @ Ion Orchard

The lights were up yesterday, and if I'm not wrong, it was opened by our own President. Haha!~ I only manage to see his back (but I can recognize him just from his back view) and it's quite near. :) :) :) After Japanese class and dinner, we decided to go walk walk and the lights are really pretty.

This is the only branded signboard that is around my height, so I decide to snap a shot. :) :) :)

My little snowman!~ :) :) :)

There are still lots of Christmas tree and I wanna see them all! :) :) :)

How do one cope when you lost your loved ones? Sometimes, it's not that easy to get it over. You can pretend to be happy in front of your family, showing people that you just have to get on with your life. But deep inside yourself, you know that it's not true. Flashes of your loved one will swept up your memories and bring you back into the black hole, where you won't be able to see anything but darkness.

Love Happens is a touching story, telling us how one cope with life when things are turned upside down. Sometimes, you might not realized that life is not as easy as you think it is. Stress from all over the place always come to you. But don't just look at your problems, because somewhere beside you might be something beautiful waiting for you to discover.

Look around you, someone is smiling at you now. :) :) :)

Great Eastern Women 10kM Run 2009

:) :) :) What a great day to start off the run after a long day of raining. The road is still a bit wet, but very cooling. Half way through the run it started to drizzle so more or less cooled me down a bit. But the rain is those 太阳雨 so it's not good for the hair.

There was enough water points to hydrate ourselves and enough space to run so we wouldn't bang into one another (not that I run very fast ^_^). The best thing for this run is that I love the medal, oval in shape. I think this is the first oval shape medal I had. *LOL!*

I had fun running with my dearies girls! :) We should do this more often! haha!~

Actually, we are not that shag if not we wouldn't be smiling so happy in the pictures. (m_m)

Nike Run 2009

I went to join the Nike Run for the 1st time this year. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, plenty of space to run, enough water points for me to hydrate myself. Only, this "uncle" who "accidentally" touch my butt twice and pretended to be innocent. Everything was great. :)

:) Saw my honey after the race! haha!~ I didn't manage to find anyone familiar during the whole race, maybe I was too busy with listening to couples bickering. *giggles!* It's really hilarious, listening to them scold each other for small things which I feel it's quite childish.

BF: *in a demanding tone* Hey, you've walked enough. Let's run!
GF: *Pissed-off look* Can't you see that my legs are in pain huh?
BF: It's only just the last 3km, very short one. Com' on larh...
GF: *push the BF away and IGNORE*

LOL, lucky the BF didn't just start running on his own, if not the GF sure not going to talk to him for the whole week. I think couples shouldn't quarrel over such small things. I mean if the guy wanna run just go ahead since the both of them are going to the same ending point. They can just meet at the end there. If not, be a gentleman, and encourage your GF to run instead of demanding her to run. That should be the correct way to show concern.

Anyway, I like running alone because it's at my own pace and I can enjoy myself looking at the scenery. :)

The super big SUN is blinding us....

Though the legs are in the "sour" state now, I still got to run alternate days for the upcoming Great Eastern Run. This time round, maybe I can set a target so I can motivate myself to run faster. wahahaha!~ Shhhh, but I wont tell what's my target. :) :) :)

I like to have you waiting at the ending point for me. It will definitely make me run faster at the last part of the race. *HAHA!*

In the mist of my busy schedule, I still make time for lots of stuff this past week. Cedric's birthday + my 2nd blood donation! :)

A surprise birthday celebration for Mr Cedric with a self-decorated birthday cake. A small gathering for everyone before class at the MSE rooftop garden.

2nd blood donation wasn't as fun as the 1st one. I shouldn't say fun, more like wasn't as comfortable as the 1st one. The reason being it is held in school canteen, so no air-con and the "beds" are mobile type, not very comfortable. Moreover, portable fans are used and they are always blowing air in the direction of those donating blood. So, it was quite cold during the whole "blood-sucking" duration. And it's painful this time round. The 1st one injection was painful, can understand, but the 2nd one is also painful which makes no sense at all. :( :( :(

My needle hole is so much bigger than my friend's. :( :( :( I think the nurse actually poke in and pull up (a bit hard to describe...but can imagine the needle inside your skin being pulled up o.O)

I think next time gotta go down to the blood bank for donation. They have better services + refreshment! :)

Life's too short

Some things are not worth waiting for. Life's too short for it.

Remember that! Don't learn it the hard way. Just move on. You might see something better and worthy of your time right in front of you.

This is the ugly truth of life.

Lucky Lucky Lucky!!!!~~~

Finally I managed to find time to go down to the Caldecott Broadcast Center to collect my vouchers from the Class 95 Love Songs. :) :) :) I have never been there before, so it's kind of hard to find the place. I would say it's quite "wu-lu" with lots of private property. Quite a long distance from the bus stop I alighted and it's a super HOT day!

But it's all worth it because of this......

Hahaha!~ I haven't try Spanish food before, shall use this voucher to have my 第一次! :) :) :)

Lucky me! :) :) :)

To be able to wake up with a smile on my face is how I greet the brand new day. I believe everyone does the same (not counting the grumbles you've trying to get yourself out of bed ^_^).

Recently, I came across this organization, Operation Smile Singapore. It is a not-for-profit organization aim to raise funds to help kids born with facial deformities. Many unfortunate children are not able to enjoy their childhood because of these deformities and they are living everyday in darkness. I believe that children should not be deprived of their childhood because it is the time when they can grow up happily and healthily.

Currently, there is an event organized by the Class 95 Morning Express team: Miles for Smiles. If they can do their part to help, I'm sure everyone can too. A small donation goes a long way. So start to do your part and put a smile on their faces.

Check out the website on ways to donate. :) :) :)

Now I can totally understand how tired my mum is to finish all the housework in 1 day. Vacuum the floor, mop the floor, dust the living room furniture +  wiping all the appliances, kitchen's sink + cabinets, etc are just one part of the housework. And I took 2.5 hours to finish all these. o.O Quite shag after that, and my hands are all wrinkled because of the soapy waters! :( :( :(

Not to mention that I over-estimate the power of the new detergent we bought. I poured too much and the whole pail of water become so soapy that instead of looking clean and sparkling, my floor looks like it's blowing bubbles at me. >.<" Quite a mess! haha!~

Anyway, it felt good to see a clean and sweet-smelling house!

I spend quite some time wiping the coffee table! It's sparkling clean now! :) :) :)

My cosy living room! :)

 A refreshed ME (after a long bath!) :) :) :)

*Hope mummy is happy to see a clean house when she comes home tonight!*

Movies In the Park!~

Yesterday was my first time stepping into the Font Canning Park, for the Class 95 Movies in the Park, featuring the Iron Man and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I reached there at 4pm (though the gate only open at 6) because I wanted to be the first 500 to get the complementary Haagen-Dazs Ice-cream! :) :) :) Hmmm, but I spent 40 minutes walking around the park looking for the gate where we have to queue to go in. By the time I found it, there was already a queue outside. Singaporeans are "kaisu", this is no joke. I admit I'm a bit too since I go so early just for the ice-cream. But partly, I wanted a good spot for the movies.

Sunshine + mats + lunchbox food + Bumblebee = Happy day! Lots of popcorn and candy floss (Courtesy of Jetstar Asia). The most popular program was the photo-taking with the Transformers, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Starscream. Honestly, I did go a bit crazy when I saw bumblebee. It's so cute, but then it's way too small in real than in the show. Well, this cant be helped since it's a real guy in it. ^_^!!!

See the human soldier beside bumblebee? hehe!~ They make it so real, need a human soldier in case these robots start to shoot people.

Simple food to keep myself full!!!~~ ^_^!!!

I think this is a great day for a family gathering, parents gathered around chit-chatting while children run around the field catching one another. :) :) :)

BUSY! It's the 5th week of the school term! Time really fly flies flew!~

2 quizzes coming up + FYP fortnight meeting = SHAG!~ (I mean literally)

I just skipped 1 week of lectures, because I'm busy mugging in the library! *YES!* Now I understand what's the meaning of mugging. You got to really sit there and do some self-discipline (which I still need to improve on) and study hard! But with a computer in front of me, I'll be doing some farming, some fishing, some mafia-ing, some lecturing (Mainly FB-ing *_*).

Kind of miss my long hair again. I still think long hair looks better, make my face look a bit "thinner". *giggles!* Short hair, please hurry grow grow grow!!! ^_^_^_^_^

Which one looks better? :) :) :) Long OR short?

I can't wait for SATURDAY to come sooner!!!! HERE I COME! *WHEE!*
