What can you do when you have nothing to do (while working) and trying to make time pass faster? Guess?...?...? YES! That's right! Take pictures!!! ^__^ With a bunch of friends of course! :)

The goggles are so big make my face look a bit smaller? :)

Smiles!!! This is the first time we are slacking inside the lab ^_^! And bosses not around so can play around *lol!*

Yeah I know I'm supposed to be working now..but...my reaction is super duper slow so can slack a bit bit ^_^!!! FINALLY!!! Jurong Island is raining! I mean really really big rain! Until all you see is just a blur sight. I think raining is good make the air fresher and easier to breathe. But makes us all drowsy (especially after lunch) and want to take a quick nap. *_*

Time seems to pass quite fast when there's work to do. I supposed that's a good thing since I cant wait for holidays to start again. I think have been craving for holidays until these few weeks just feel like slacking at home instead of going work. :)

4 more months of IA to go!!! *wHEE!*

I have never done any DIY facial before. WHY? 1) I don't know what to mix with what and 2) I'm kinda lazy to do these stuff. Until recently, I realised that my skin abit "CUI"!! It's getting abit more dry. Is it telling me that I'm getting older? *Ohh DEAR!!!*

So...early in the morning I woke up and prepare a simple DIY facial mask. Nothing fancy just egg white and honey!!! ^_^!

Honey softens and is a great egg white addition. Mix one egg white with a tablespoon of honey and a drop of essential orange oil. Smooth on your face and let dry for maybe 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

I wouldn't say that you can see the effect straight after you wash off the mask. But it's kinda leave a cooling and fresh feel on your face. I think besides doing all these facial mask, having enough sleep and drinking more water are essentials to having good skin. :)

Egg whites with honey! :)

Someone gave me a very interesting example to describe how a relationship works.

Imagine you & your partner are lost in a forest. All you had was a packet of match sticks and trees (No torch light!). Say the GIRL has the match stick and the GUY is the one in-charge of providing the wood for burning. If the GUY doesnt want to chop down trees, there isnt any chance of setting up a fire and both of them will be living in darkness. But if the GIRL doesnt want to help light up the match sticks, even with the wood, it wont burn by itself.

I think it takes 2 to make a relationship works. If one doesnt want to be part of the relationship, then let it go. Keeping him/her by your side will only hurt the both of you. But remember, never make a rush decisions. THINK carefully!

**Ks, thank you for spending time talking to me. Finally I understand how to de-stress myself and live my life fully! /Appreciate!**

My 1st Blood Donation!!!

Happy Valentine's DaY!!! Yupz! It's supposed to be a loving day filled with joy and laughter and happines! Unfortunately, it doesnt happen to me. :'( But it's alright, cause I did something more meaningful!

I went for my 1st BLOOD DONATION!!! *whEE!* Why Valentine Day? I think it's double meaningful because not only you're helping to save life, you can also go with your loved one to do it together. Share the joy and happiness together with one another. It's really nice to see couples going there together and also families (the dad will be explaining to his kids that donating blood is not painful but a meaningful thing). It's a warm feeling in HSA (Bloodbank @Health Science Authority) seeing so many people waiting for turn. I waited for almost 3 hours to complete everything (from registration to medical check-up to blood test to donating blood).

Since this is my 1st time donating, the donar aides there are extremely friendly to me. They make me super comfortable while on the lying chair waiting. Blankets for me and many of them will come to you and asked "Are you feeling ok?", always with a smile on their face. I learnt of some facts today:

1) One must be at least 45kg to donate blood. If you weigh from 45 to 49.5kg (estimate), you will donate 300mL of blood. If you weigh more than 50kg, you will be donating 450mL of blood. (I'm not sure whether you can donate more than 450mL of blood.)

2) Donating Blood is NOT PAINFUL!!! Before they insert the super big needle (to suck your blood out, *lol!*), they will inject you with a local painkiller. You might feel a prick (like an ant bite on you). After awhile they insert the super big needle into your flesh. It's not painful at ALL!!! ^_^!

3) The aides there are super nice! They will make sure that your veins can be seen before inserting the needles. So don't worry about them digging into your flesh searching for it :)

Got myself a limited edition watch from them! Wahahaha! ^_^

My goodies from my 1st blood donation!!!

I super like this sticker. So cute and people are really really nice to you! (Should say they treat everyone super nice even though u are already blood donors ^_^)

The hole in my hand. Not too bad cause didnt swollen too much. Heex! :)

Early in the morning was told that my lab is flooded with water!!! >.<"" Quite serious cause what if the water go into the machines and electrical plug and maybe whole building no electricity lorh...*OMG!*

So off I go..rushed into the lab and found that the condenser cable is loosen and all the water is flowing out. Abit panicked because if the LO (Lab Officer) comes in, she will surely scold one. Unfortunately, the first person to come in is one of the student's supervisor (SHE) who is well-known to have really bad temper!!! Haix! Spent the whole morning clearing up the mess. It's tiring work (but I really don't mind, cause the lab is really abit messy and dirty). What made me angry is that SHE just say i'm the one who cause all this mess just because I use it the day before. This is really crap. Who knows whether there's anyone using it after me. And I really sure that I did close the tap (TURN CLOCKWISE!)!!!

I think SHE wanted to complain to my supervisor. Hopefully nothing serious will happen to me! I think it's better to stay away from her from now on since I'm already on her blacklist. *Ohh dear!!!!*

Just had our NTU Dearies Gathering @ Cedric House! *whEE!* Quite a long time since the last gathering (I think it's the birthday celebration for Jieying & Famin!) It's good to see so many people and catching up on each other's IA stuff. Seems like everyone is enjoying themselves and learning stuff which cannot be taught in school. *way to go!*

Looks like a family portrait :D

We really won the 10 Million lottery draw! See our faces!!! :D

1 month of IA is over! Time really flies! :) Finally getting used to waking up early in the morning and got the habit of must eat breakfast if not cannot work. Started to work independently liao..every morning 9am go lab (try to) and work until 1130 come out for lunch. Usually will drag till 12 noon cause wait for the others to go down cafe together. 1pm go back in to continue. Working in ICES also can help me exercise. I have 3 different labs to go to and all at different level, so sometimes got to run up and down. 5 o'clock 收工 and go back to take a rest while waiting for bus to come. Very routine work but enough to keep me busy for the next few months.

Cant wait for another long weekend to come! whee! ^_^!!!

No one can imagine what happen this past week. I just want to get it over with and forget about all of it. It hurts so much (you have no idea how much) when sandwiched in between so many people. Right now, I can only survive on 2 things. My IA friends that never fails to cheer me up and You! Please promise me that you won't leave me hanging there because if you let go, I'll surely fall and no one will be able to catch me anymore.

**Just knowing that you're here is enough to help me through all these problems. Give me some more time. I'll make it work! I PROMISE!**

Into the 2nd week of IA, so far so good! ^_^! Especially when the whole gang of us together. Heex! Although we only know each other for like 1 week plus (for some of us though), we don't feel shy around each other and can joke all day long! You guys make my IA more interesting than I expected. *thank YOU!*

Honestly, the last time I've been to a laboratory was like secondary school so when my upper study brought me in to mix some solution, I was totally blur. How to wash a test-tube correctly, what type of PPE must I wear when dealing with specific chemicals...etc, I have no idea (don't laugh, because I also feel embarrassed *_*). Maybe still need some time to get use to the new environment and working style. Lucky my supervisor quite cute, always carry around the cordless phone as though his handphone and coming to lab and quietly ask you "一切都还好吗?" Heex! ^_^!!!

*Time passes fast whenever I'm with you...and so slow whenever we're on both ends of the world*

Hehe! Someone told me this...not sure whether it's true...but looks quite interesting! *giggles!*

CANCER - The Cutie

MOST AMAZING KISSER. Very high appeal. Love is one of a kind. Very romantic. Most caring person you will ever meet! Entirely creative. Extremely random and proud of it. Freak.
Spontaneous. Great telling stories. Not a Fighter, But will Knock your lights out if it comes down to it. Someone you should hold on to.

I find the freak abit funny. I'm wondering what type of freak I am? Any ideas? ^_^

*giggles!!!!*

First day of my IA wasn't quite what I expected. Yeah, I dont have to report so early (845am at JE) so that means I can sleep abit more. *wheee!* But things got delayed, bus never turn up at 9am to fetch us, HR girl got angry and call & call to hurry him. Reach the Jurong Island at 10 started waiting to get our pass done. Total waiting time almost 2 hours. The worst thing is to sit on the floor (with the foreign workers) and do nothing (though we did entertain ourselves by chit-chat abit ^_^). Finally, got onto the bus to ICES (way passed the lunch hour!!!). We were told that it's about 10km from the entrance to ICES so not advisable to drive in ourselves (waste fuel =.=)

Finally got to have time to eat our lunch, but HR never inform the cafe guy that students (around 50) are coming over. SO NO FOOD FOR US!!! *grumble!!!* Have to wait awhile for the kitchen to cook some food to feed us. Last minute cooking = inedible food! (No choice, still have to eat)

Safety Officer's presentation........

HR Briefing....

Meet Supervisor (around 3 minutes only).....

Check lockers....

HOME SWEET HOME!

Yeah, I know it's a super slack day! Hopefully tomorrow will be better (at least I'll have some decent food to eat ^_^!!!)!!!

What a good way to start off my New Year! :( Got pick-pocketed at Bugis and lost my handphone. Cried the whole night but my phone still wont come back. Friends keep on saying 旧的不去,新的不来. But I still think the phone is too new to consider old. It's only 5 months old. And the worst part is the phone is my 21st present from my Uni friends!!! *sob sob!!!* I think I'll need some time to get over this.

Anyway got a new phone, Samsung F480, because no more SOULs liao. The phone quite hard to use. Still trying to figure out and familiarize with the buttons and stuff.

Hopefully, first day of IA everything goes smoothly!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! ^_^!!!

Finally 2009 is here! Time really flies but sometimes it's a good thing that time passes that fast. In this new year, I hope everyone (family, friends, YOU, the one reading this now) all the best of luck and health!! *wHeee!* 2008 is already over, so let's just look forward to a brand new year and brand new hopes & wishes!

4 more days to the start of IA *nervous!*

Meeting you was fate,
Becoming your friend was a choice,
But falling in love with you was beyond my control.

Monday, December 29, 2008

^_^!!! I had finished reading my Twilight series! *whEEee!* Lucky it's a HAPPY ending (if not I'll be super sad) :-). I think reading the books will be much better than watching the movie because you will be able to understand more in-depth about each characters. When I watch the movie, the characters that I imagine looked so much different from the movie itself. I think my imaginations are better (in the sense the looks are better) than the movie. *wahahaha*

Just finished reading another book: Totto-chan The Little Girl @ the Window. I found this book from my brother's little library (in his room) and got abit curious about it. So I started reading it...
It's a book that describe all the childhood stories of the little girl Totto-chan. I think that if you aspire to become a teacher one day, this one is a MUST READ for you!

Finding another book to read now....any recommendations? ^_^!

IA starting soon...got to enjoy another week of life before hard work begins........

Wow~! Super tired and busy these 2 days. Firstly, Friday woke up early to prepare to go East coast to learn roller-skating. Very excited about it because I have been waiting to learn it for a very long time. Finally get to have a chance. Got myself an instructor and save myself the trouble to rent the skates because instructor provides them (Very good, isn't it? ^^).

Initially, I thought that skating is very simple. Just make sure that you can balance on the skates and move forward. Simple as that (Yeah, right! >.<)! I managed to balance on my 2 skates (that's easy, considering that the skates are quite thick) but the one thing I can't do is to move forward. I kept skating backwards (I don't understand why!!!) and just can't move forward. When I tried to walk forward, I would lose my balance and fell (*URGH!!!*). Lucky, I always try to fall backwards (more flesh on the butt = less pain). Getting back on your 2 feets are not easy too.

But...but...but...

After many tries and falls, I FINALLY manage to skate (though it's abit slow and sometimes unbalanced)!!! I think more practice hours and I can skate not too bad liao. Quite a big accomplishment cause I only took 2 hours (so much shorter than when I learn cycling! *giggles*)!!!

I think to learn skating one must be daring to fall (敢敢跌!!!). Don't depend on anything but balance on yourself and move forward. When you fall, you will feel pain which makes you all the more determined to stay on your feet.

I can't wait for my next training session!!! *whEEE!!!* ^___^
I don't like wearing the hand guards!!! I know it will protect my hands from abrasion when I fell but it makes me look abit too "noob"!!! *wahahaha!!!* Something like 爱美不要命 but in the end still has no choice but to wear. Lucky, instructor never force me to wear the knee guards!!!
*Thank you for saving me from falling (quite a number of times)! I know I'm not a very good student but I'll work hard!!! ^_^!!!*

After just 2 hours of intense training (lOL!!!), we went to have dinner at Cafe Cartel. I didnt know that they started to collect the 10% service charge. Even with the Citibank card, I still need to pay extra 2% (10% *Service charge*+ 7% *GST* - 15% *Discount from Citibank*). Not too bad, at least the food still can make it. *_*
Our dinner @ Cafe Cartel! Simple meal, but we gobble up our food! TOO HUNGRY!!!! ^_^!!!

-------------------------------------------------------

Back @ Jurong Point! Those staying in the west should know that the new wing at Jurong Point has already opened and it's SO CROWDED everyday! Honestly, I think it's quite good because most of the shops that I usually frequent is now opened there which means that I can buy my stuff easier (don't have to go all the way down to town area) ^_^.

There's a new Fairprice Supermarket (super duper big! That's why is called Fairprice Xtra!! *haha!!*) which opens 24 hours. When I knew that they are opening 24 hours, my 1st thought was "Who will shop inside the NTUC at night???!!!".

But I was SO SO WRONG!!! This picture was taken at 11.10PM (people Q-ing to check out)!!!
